If the original packaging materials are not available, use bubble wrap to cover the screen, and then fill each corner of the TV with additional foam or bubble wrap. A moving TV box is the best way to safely pack and move a TV, providing external protection and interior padding. Unfortunately, some older TV models are simply too bulky to fit in a moving box and must therefore be moved without this additional protection. Once the TV is padded, you'll need to put it in the box.
If you have a large flat screen TV, ask someone to help you with this step. Start by filling the bottom of the box with bubble wrap or wrinkled wrapping paper. This method helps prevent the TV from moving. Place the TV vertically in the box.
Do not place the TV on its side.
